They’re getting ready for a VERY Merry Christmas! Students hit the town to celebrate the end of term as they get into the festive spirit early

‘Tis the season to be jolly – and these students seem to be intent on being jolliest of all after hitting the town for a night of clubbing as they wrapped up their studies in the run up to Christmas.

Pictures captured on Thursday night in Leeds and Nottingham show students pouring out into the streets ready for a night out – with many even donning festive attire for the occasion.

In Nottingham, the Rock City student night Tuned pulled thousands into the city for its last event before Christmas.

Meanwhile, one brave reveller out on the town in Leeds even opted for a full Santa suit. Others went for more revealing takes on traditional Christmas attire – and some chose to accessorise their normal party clothes with wintry touches, from Santa hats to bright red braces.

However, some nights didn’t quite go to plan – with one reveller looking worse for wear as she grips the side of a large commercial bin after taking ill.

And tempers frayed on the streets in the Yorkshire city, where a man could be seen having a face-off with a much taller partygoer wearing a Christmas jumper.

Next Friday, December 22, is ‘Black Friday’ – the last weekend before Christmas, and traditionally one of the busiest nights of the year for paramedics and police forces across the country.
