New Year’s Day sea swimmers have been warned to avoid a dip along the Kent coast after sewage spillages were detected following heavy rainfall.
Heavy rainfall on new Year’s Eve has led to sewage spillages along the picturesque coastline, which are being tracked by environmental group Surfers Against Sewage.
The environmental campaign group run an interactive map which tracks the sewages overflows – and it shows numerous sites dumping sewage along the Kent coast near bathing waters.
