The controversial transgender influencer who was invited to Biden’s White House has posted a video showing off her bruised and scarred face after she underwent facial feminization surgery.

Dylan Mulvaney could be seen in a TikTok video posted on December 21 with bandages around her head and gauze covering her face as she told her 9.9million followers she was feeling well following the controversial surgery.

As part of the plastic surgery, transgender women get their facial bones sliced off and sanded down to make themselves appear more feminine.

Mulvaney, 26, has been hailed as a transgender icon who gained a massive following after sitting down with President Joe Biden in October.

Mulvaney first posted on December 16 that she was undergoing facial feminization surgery that day, sharing videos of her waking up excited and being dropped off at a medical center.

She later replied to a video posted by another transgender TikToker who said she is proud of Mulvaney for undergoing the surgery.

‘You are a light for this community,’ TikToker Mercury told Mulvaney. ‘You showcase the trans community in its most authentic form.’

Then, after one of Mulvaney’s thousands of followers asked for an update, she shared a video from her hospital bed on December 21 with her head completely bandaged and her cheeks, nose and chin covered in gauzes.

Stitches could also be seen above her upper lip, and Mulvaney appeared to have bruises around her lips and under her eyes.

‘Miss you all already,’ Mulvaney said, hoarsely, in the video, ‘and I’m doing well so thank you for supporting me.

‘I love you so much, thank you, love ya!’ she concluded.

But in the comments of another video posted on Saturday, Mulvaney said her face was still swollen from the massive procedure.

Still, her face did seem smoother in the video, with her brows lifted higher up on her face and a less defined jawline than in her previous videos.

As part of facial feminization surgery, transgender women can get their facial bones sawed down and even removed to achieve a more feminine look.

It can include a range of different surgeries, including reconstructing the forehead by removing the bony ridge above a patient’s eyes and reshaping the hairline (which may include shaving down or grinding the bony ridge or cutting a piece of existing bone and replacing it with a bon graft).

Other procedures involve the cutting and reformatting of the scalp to lower the hairline, raising the brows and a nose job to reduce the width and shape of a patient’s nose.

Additionally, jaw surgery may be completed to make a patient’s jaw line less pronounced, and surgeons may elect to shave the patient’s trachea to reduce the size of an Adam’s apple.

Surgeons ay also recommend a procedure to remove a small amount of fat from one part of the body and use it to add volume and smooth out hollowed areas.

All together, the surgeries can cost $20,000 to $50,000, out of pocket

What is feminine facial reconstruction surgery?

Feminine facial reconstruction surgery is actually a series of procedures that could b done to achieve a more feminine appearance.

Mulvaney has previously said that her ‘Days of Girlhood’ series — in which she documents each day since her transition — effectively pays for the surgeries that it documents.

‘A lot of the initial deals were tailored to my queerness and to my transness,’ she told The Creators newsletter in October.

‘For some of these major corporations, I was actually their first trans creator. It’s exciting to make money to support myself since I lost my job, and to have my transition surgeries be covered too.’

As DailyMail.com previously reported, Mulvaney was set to earn more than $1million in 2022 just from promoting teeth-whitening strips, lipsticks and other products on TikTok.

Industry insiders who broker commercial endorsement deals for TikTok creators say Mulvaney nets at least $100,000 each month from showcasing brands in her popular ‘Days of Girlhood’ series.

They describe Mulvaney, who is represented by LA-based Creative Artists Agency (CAA), as a savvy operator who likely gets paid $25,000-$50,000 each time she posts about clients like Ulta Beauty, Haus Labs, Crest, Instacart, EOS, and CeraVe.

Assil Dayri, founder of London-based AMD Consulting Group, which helps companies grow their reach on social media, for example, said Mulvaney’s platform was ‘very lucrative’ and ‘easily’ netted her $100,000 per month.

‘Dylan could become more of a public figure, appear more on TV, get more press coverage, and even become a brand ambassador and collaborate with LGBTQ organizations to drive awareness around transitioning,’ Dayri told DailyMail.com.

Her meteoric fame was buoyed by her sit-down interview with President Joe Biden in October, when the president said states should not be able to regulate the availability of these types of surgeries.

Mulvaney earns as much as $100,000 per month pushing brands like EOS, CeraVe and Crest, industry insiders told DailyMail.com

‘I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that,’ he said when Mulvaney asked if red states should have the right to pass laws limiting access to gender-affirming treatments.

‘As a moral question and as a legal question, I just think it’s wrong,’ the president added, saying: ‘Sometimes they try to block you from being able to access certain medicines, being able to access certain procedures, and so on.’

‘I mean, no state should be able to do that, in my view,’ the president continued. ‘So I feel very, very strongly that you should have every single solitary right including use of your gender-identity bathrooms in public.’

Alabama, Arkansas, Texas and Arizona all enacted laws or policies restricting youth access to sex change treatments, care and surgeries. In some cases, these laws impose penalties on adults who facilitate access to this care.

GOP lawmakers pushing for legislation that would regulate gender-affirming surgeries and treatment in these states argue they are dangerous and could cause irreversible changes in younger patients.

Most legislation in red states have focused on minors, not adults.

Republicans slammed the president for his answer following the interview, saying he was focusing on far=left issues rather than historic inflation and other issues plaguing the country.

‘Democrats couldn’t be more out of touch if they tried,’ Republican National Committee’s Director of Faith Communications Andrew Brennan told DailyMail.com.

He added: ‘Joe Biden’s closing midterm message is to ignore inflation and instead push an extreme agenda on kids that nearly 8 in 10 Americans say they oppose.’

Donald Trump Jr. also said Biden’s interview with Mulvaney was a show of ‘the Democrat party in a nutshell.’

‘In a country of aprox 350,000,000 people, a middle aged biological male who transitioned to female about a year ago is the person chosen to go to the Oval Office to talk with the President about being a girl,’ the former president’s son tweeted. ‘That’s who they think is the best fit.’

Meanwhile, president of CatholicVote Brian Burch told DailyMail.com ‘that Joe Biden and the Democrats have little to run on other than divisive cultural issues that are intended to motivate their base.’

‘Poll after poll show this is not an issue that’s a priority for [Americans],’ Burch said. ‘And this is absolutely pandering to progressives for the sake of political expediency, at the expense of vulnerable children who need authentic health care.’

‘This is a clear example of the tone deafness of this president, who was flailing as a leader, who’s failed as a president, whose country is struggling economically, culturally and with crime, inflation. Those issues remain at the top of the list for voters and voters deserve leadership that will address their real concerns, not attempt to exploit our children for the sake of political gain,’ he added.

As of this summer, 15 states introduced at least two dozen bills that would impose some sort of restrictions to ‘gender affirming’ surgeries or treatments, according to a Freedom for All Americans tracker.

Provisions in some of the proposed legislation include, but are not limited to criminalization of healthcare professionals who provide transgender treatments to minors, penalizing of parents aiding in youth access to this care and a limitation on insurance coverage of gender affirming services.

In some cases the language would classify allowing or aiding a child in receiving treatment to permanently change sex characteristics as child abuse.

Another major GOP initiative is making sure that no state funds are used for such services.

Republicans and right-leaning activists are mostly concerned with the affect these surgeries are having on children who choose to transition and then later regret the choice they made as a minor.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) suspended gender altering surgeries in November amid outrage over claims the hospital ‘chemically castrates’ minors for financial gain.

The center confirmed it was freezing all ‘gender affirmation surgery’ on underage patients pending a review of their processes, in response to calls from Tennessee lawmakers to investigate the hospital.

The move came after conservative activist Matt Walsh released a 2018 video showing Dr. Shayne Taylor – an LGBTQ specialist at the hospital – touting transgender surgeries as ‘huge money makers’ for the hospital.

Walsh also compiled a report of his own investigation into VUMC’s trans program which found the hospital ‘drugs, chemically castrates and performs double mastectomies on minors.

Three ‘Detransitioners’ who have voiced regret for their decisions

An increasing number of people who have undergone gender-transitional procedures are voicing regret for their choices, with many saying they feel they were influenced into making drastic choices without proper counseling.

A 32-year-old detransitioner from Massachusetts going by Shape Shifter says he was ‘brain washed’ into removing his penis by staff at Fenway Health and The Philadelphia Center for Transgender Surgery, who didn’t warn him of the negative effects of surgery because it was ‘bad for business.’

‘I will never be able to get my penis back which is extremely traumatic for me,’ he said in an August interview. ‘I want it back and I can’t. Sex is traumatic for me now because I’ve had botched surgeries.’

A 26-year-old from the UK named Sam says she regrets the transition she undertook at 21.

Sam said she made the decision to transition after a mere two-hour counseling session.

‘I do believe that therapy should be involved at all stages of the transitioning process to help spot and explore red flags that may appear in someone’s transitional journey.

‘I also think more information should be given to individuals to make sure that their informed consent is truly informed.

Alia Ismail, a 27-year-old from Michigan, is detransitioning after becoming a male at just 18.

She legally changed her name to Issa in August 2015 and underwent a double mastectomy in February 2016.

But after realizing she wanted to de-transition, the 27-year-old stopped taking male hormones in February 2021 and is going by the name Alia again.
