Truck driver is arrested after trying to abduct bikini-barista from drive-thru window by using looped zip-ties – and cops say his unique ‘Chevrolet’ tattoo led to his capture

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempting to abduct a bikini-clad barista through a drive-through window.
The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested at 11am on Tuesday, at his home in Auburn.
Investigators were able to search his vehicle and found evidence linking him to the scene, as well as spotting his unique ‘Chevrolet’ tattoo on his left forearm.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado will remain in police custody and has yet to be officially charged with anything.

Video surveillance shows the man pulling up to the window in a truck around 5am at the Beankini Espresso Auburn, a drive-thru coffee shop located in a suburb near Seattle.
The bikini-clad baristas are part of the attraction of the coffee shop, with the victim telling DailyMail.com that the incident was a ‘random act’.
She added that she had worked at eth company for nine years, and they are female-owned and put employee safety first.
The shop is equipped with a silent panic button, metal doors and surveillance cameras – explaining that they are also allowed to have mace and tasers.

Auburn Police Department spokesperson Kolby Crossley said: ‘They are in vulnerable positions because they’re usually controlling those spots by themselves at early hours in the morning when it’s dark outside.
‘But this barista did an awesome job of protecting herself and fighting this person off.’
Authorities added that they arrested the suspect after ‘overwhelming support from the community.’
In the surveillance footage the suspect is seen grabbing the woman’s arm with one hand while holding a looped zip tie device in the other – before he attempts to drag the victim out of the window.

Speaking to DailyMail.com she said: ‘Our owner allows us to shut the window on any customer and handle every situation in the way we feel comfortable. We are allowed to refuse service to anyone for any reason.’
On Monday morning when the incident occurred, she said the man ordered a drink and paid for it before requesting change for a $5 bill.
When she went back to give him the five one-dollar bills, he grabbed her – though she and her colleagues had never seen him before.
