Two helicopters collide mid-air in fatal crash over Sea World

Two helicopters have collided in mid air over the Sea World theme park in Queensland, Australia. The crash happened around 2pm local time (4am GMT) when the park was full of families enjoying the summer holiday.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has confirmed there had been some fatalities.

Queensland Ambulance Service said 13 patients are being assessed at the scene, while local media reported that four people had been killed in the incident.

According to ABC News one of the helicopters had a Sea World logo and was able to land after the collision.

ATSB Chief Commissioner Angus Mitchell said investigators would soon be at the scene to begin an investigation.
