A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed to death in a leafy area of London.

Police were scrambled to Trinity Crescent in Wandsworth, South West London, at around 1.15am this morning.

They found the man, believed to be aged in his 40s, suffering from serious injuries.

Sadly he couldn't be saved and was declared dead at the scene.

A man and woman have now been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.

Police have not confirmed the suspects' ages or their relationship to the victim.

A cordon remains in place on the tree-lined street while homicide detectives investigate.

The Met Police said: "Police were called at approximately 01:15hrs on Wednesday, 27 July by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a man, believed aged in his 40s, suffering serious injuries at an address on Trinity Crescent, SW17.

"Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended but despite the efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Work is ongoing to inform all next of kin."
