A WOMAN has been raped in the toilets of a bar prompting cops to release CCTV images of a man they're now searching for.
The horrific sex assault is reported to have happened in Sinners Bar, Newcastle, in the early hours of June 4 this year.
Northumbria Police launched an investigation after receiving a report of the incident at the establishment on Newgate Street, in the city centre.
The victim told officers she was approached by a stranger shortly before the attack is said to have happened.
The force say they've carried out enquiries and would now like to speak to witnesses.
They have since released images of a man who was in the bar at the time in the hope he might be able to assist them.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "He was in the bar at the time of the incident and may have information which can assist their enquiries.
"The man, anyone who knows him, or anyone with information is asked to contact police by using the 'Tell us Something' page on our website."
