Argos is offering the Google Pixel 3a smartphone for £3.99 – but there’s a catch

Earlier this month, Google launched its latest smartphone , the Google Pixel 3a – a mid-range phone with a wallet-friendly price-tag of £399.

While the Pixel 3a is one of Google ’s cheapest smartphones, Argos is offering customers the opportunity to buy the handset at a hugely reduced price.

Argos is offering the Pixel 3a for £3.99 – a whopping 99% discount on Google’s price.

Phil Elford, Head of Technology at Argos, said: “We wanted to celebrate the launch of the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL at Argos with a bang, and what better way than to offer our customers an incredible 99 per cent discount.”

However, as you probably already guessed, there’s a catch.

To be in with a chance of getting the discounted handset, customers need to register their interest on the Argos website between 00:01 Friday 17 May and 23.59 on Monday 20 May.

Argos will then randomly select 50 lucky customers who will be eligible for the SIM-free Google Pixel 3a 64GB in Just Black.

For customers in London, the smartphone can be collected from a special Argos x Google phone box on the South Bank on Thursday 23 May.

Alternatively, Argos will deliver the smartphone to winning customers.
