Adult film star Sophie Anderson dies aged 34 – two weeks after ex-footballer boyfriend’s death

Porn star Sophie Anderson has tragically passed away just two weeks after the death of her boyfriend, former Crystal Palace footballer Oliver Spedding.

Sophie, 34, who had been working as an adult actress since 2017, became an internet sensation when a video featuring her and fellow adult actress Rebecca More declaring themselves to be "c*** destroyers" went viral online.

Sophie's tragic passing was announced on social media by Rebecca, who shared a tribute, which read: "I’m devastated hearing the awful news of Sophie’s passing.

"We shared some amazing times together and that’s how I’m going to remember her.

“The bubbly, funny, kind hearted soul who was outrageous on the outside but also so gentle behind closed doors.

"We were very close, and we shared a crazy time together that was totally unique to us. That’s how I will remember her.

This is so tragic but I know you are now at peace. I will always love you and hold a special place in my heart."

Other social media users have also paid tribute to Sophie, with one writing: "So incredibly sad to hear of the passing of darling Sophie Anderson.

"She was outrageous but she was also incredibly sweet and a continuous advocate for those in the LGBTQ+ community and her industry. A genuinely sweet soul. Rest in peace darling."

And a second added: "She was just a meme to a lot of people but she genuinely put in the work as an activist and a voice for queer people and sex workers everywhere and often made a point to connect with her fans in meaningful ways. We truly lost a real one. Rest in paradise sophie Anderson."

While a third penned: "sophie anderson no way uplifted the hearts of many of us and such a unique spirit. met her once a couple of years ago and she was so kind and sweet. thinking of rebecca rn."

The news of Sophie's death comes just two weeks after her boyfriend Oliver passed away. Cause of death of both individuals is yet to be announced.

Following Oliver's untimely passing, his former football club Croydon FC shared a heartbreaking tribute, and held a minute's silence before their match on Saturday, 18 November.

Their statement read: "Oliver played for the club over a couple of spells and was a much loved individual who always gave his utmost effort for the team.

"Oliver will be hugely missed by everyone at the club and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

"Rest in Peace, Ollie. Once a Tram, always a Tram."
