Alexandra Burke has revealed that she is "so proud" of herself for making it out of the house alone with her two children.
The singer, who rose to fame after winning the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008, recently welcomed her second child with boyfriend, footballer Darren Randolph.
The birth of her newborn comes just 14 months on from welcoming her first child, meaning the couple have two children under two years old.
Speaking to her 280,000 Instagram followers, the 35-year-old shared her delight after admitting she was getting her "confidence back" and "building it up slowly" after the birth. In a video posted from her car, the mum-of-two said: "I needed to celebrate this win just now, I got out the house, I could cry, I got out the house with two kids by myself. I look like crap, so I had to whack a filter on, but I'm so happy. Teletubbies has had to go on the Ipad and I don't care, don't judge me.
"But I got out the house with two kids by myself, I'm so proud of myself, that's a massive win for me."
She added: "I'm so proud of myself, so to all the mums out there, who struggle to get out the house, especially with two under two, trust me when I tell you, I feel you but we got this."
She then shared a picture on her outing in the park which included a glimpse of her new-born in a leopard print sling across her front. Alexandra captioned the post: "Another win this afternoon, took my babies to the park it was so lovely. I struggled to walk there but pushed through. I'll be mash up tomorrow. Really trying to get my confidence back and I'm building it up slowly."
Sharing the news of their new arrival on Instagram just last week, Alexandra posted two pictures – the first showed her newborn's hand clutching her fingers as they rested on Darren's hand.
The second was an image of the new baby's tiny feet against fuzzy brown fabric. Alongside the family snaps, Alexandra wrote: "Feeling so blessed. We are now a family of four. Welcome to the world our little peanut."
The couple are choosing to keep their children out of the public eye and haven't revealed their children's names, referring to their eldest as their "little grape."
Alexandra broke down in tears on Loose Women last year as she explained why she hadn't revealed the name and gender of her child. "I come from X Factor and I'm very grateful for the platform," she said. "In the process of being who I am […] the impact on them is hard."
As she began to cry, Alexandra continued: "They never asked for it, I asked for it… I want to protect the baby as much as I can." She continued that she would let her child decide when they were older whether they wanted to join her in the spotlight."
