Kevin Spacey found not guilt of nine charges
Kevin Spacey has been found not guilty of nine sex offences – with the actor breaking down in court after hearing the verdict.
The Hollywood star previously said the allegations against him were “madness” and a “stab in the back”
Spacey was accused of sexually assaulting four men between 2001 and 2013.
However, after 12 hours and 26 minutes, the jury acquitted Spacey of seven counts of sexual assault, one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.
The actor denied all charges while jurors rejected the prosecution’s claims that Spacey had “aggressively” grabbed three men by the crotch and had performed a sex act on another while he was asleep.
There were many famous celebrities who were mentioned during the trial – and some even gave evidence.

One complainant alleged Spacey “aggressively” grabbed his crotch while he driving him to Sir Elton John‘s White Tie and Tiara ball in 2001.
Elton John was even called as a defence witness, appearing briefly via a videolink with his husband David Furnish.
He reportedly made Spacey laugh while giving evidence.
The singer told the court that Spacey attended the party and stayed the night but could not remember him visiting the property after that.
Elton also confirmed that Spacey bought a Mini Cooper at the auction held that night for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Earlier in the trial, Spacey told jurors how he stored “the most expensive” Mini Cooper “ever” in Sir Elton’s garage after buying it at the charity ball.
Asked by prosecturotrs if he had a recollection of Spacey at the party, Sir Elton said: “Yes, because he arrived in a white tie. He was on a flight, he came on a private jet and he came straight to the ball.”
On whether Spacey came straight from the jet, he added: “I assume so, yes, I don’t think he would be wearing white tie on a commercial flight,” before Spacey laughed.
Sir Elton added: “The night that he attended the ball, he stayed overnight at our house.”
On whether Spacey returned after the event, Elton John added: “I can’t remember him coming after that, no.”
During his trial, Spacey also spoke about a number of other celebrities.
He told the jury about having gifted a ping pong table to Dame Judi Dench after they worked together on a film.
The actor also told jurors about staying in Harry Potter star Richard Harris’ son’s flat in the 1980s.
Spacey will undoubtedly start rebuilding his acting career now that he’s been acquitted.
