Amy Hart fans stunned as ex-air hostess admits she used to eat passengers leftover food

Amy Hart has made a shocking confession about her days as an air hostess.

The Love Island star has admitted that she would eat passengers' leftover food when she worked as cabin crew for British Airways.

Before swapping flying for reality TV, she would ensure any grub that wasn't chowed down by holidaymakers didn't go to waste, adding that she'd eat it with used cutlery.

"I have quite a strong stomach. I think it comes from years of being cabin crew and eating second-hand food off people's plates and sharing cutlery," she explained during an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Instagram.

Amy offered more detail about her unusual habit: "You know, a sneaky sausage and mash that's been in the oven for eight hours when you get onto the shuttle."

The 30 year old reasoned that she believed that the food she selected would hardly have been touched.

"If someone in first class’s plate comes back into the galley and they haven't touched one of the bits of cheese, I'm going to eat the cheese. They haven't touched it."

"It's literally travelled from the galley out to the table and back again. I'm going to eat the cheese," Amy continued.

"I'm like, 'do not throw the food away. I want it now.'"

Fans were left suitably stunned by Amy's admission, with one fan posting a series of vomiting emojis.

Amy is currently is expecting her first child with partner Sam Rason.

She has recently spoken about some of the difficulties she's experienced during pregnancy.

"I won't lie, this week has been the hardest week of my pregnancy. It's literally the pain in my hips, I can't sleep," she revealed on Instagram.

"I'm finding it really hard to walk, we were walking through Westfields earlier and suddenly I was like 'ahh!', shooting pain up my hips while I was walking. When I try and sleep at night it's like lightning vagina, so trying to find highlights would be hard, but I will find them."

She has also spoken about feeling "deflated" as "I've been pregnant for aaaaggeess". The first time mum is incredibly excited to meet her baby, which is understandable!

There will soon be an influx of Love Island babies, with Molly-Mae Hague and Shaughna Phillips both also expecting their first children.
