Apprentices Jess Cunningham feels luckiest girl as she shares engagement joy

Former Apprentice hopeful Jessica Cunningham has announced that she is engaged after appearing on the BBC business show back in 2016.

Almost seven years ago, Derbyshire local Jessica arrived in London to take part in Lord Alan Sugar’s The Apprentice with other contestants like Courtney Wood, Frances Bishop, Sofiane Khelfa and series winner Alana Spencer.

The 35 year old, who is the owner of the online fashion company ProdigalFox and operations director for a PR and marketing agency, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal the happy news.

On her grid, Jess shared a picture of herself sporting a white dress as she passionately embraced her fiance, Alex Daw, while on a visit to the aquarium.

In the second picture, which also showcased Jess’ adorable love heart nail design, fans were treated to a look at the shiny new ring.

The third picture featured the happy couple once again, with Alex beaming as Jess flashed the ring to her 49k followers.

She wrote in the caption: “OH MY GOSSSSSSH!!!!! I’m getting MARRIED. Hunky chops asked me to be his WIFE!!

“I actually can’t believe it, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Alex is just one amazing human being. Kind, loving, loyal, funny, caring and the love of my life."

“He has taken on the three girls as their own, given me two incredible sons and together we have a pretty epic family," she added.

“I’ve gone from the girl that felt unlovable to feeling like the most loved woman in the world. Hold the faith. True love IS out there.”

Friends and fans flocked to the comments to wish Alex and mum of five Jess the best, with Christine McGuiness penning: “Yaaaasssss. Congratulations beautiful xxx”

“Congratulations you brilliant beautiful wonderful girl,” wrote Tonia Buxton, while Denise Welch added, “Fantastic news.”

Following her stint on the boardroom show, which saw her eliminated during the interview rounds, Jess made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother as a “late entrant” in 2017.

Alongside Jess, Kim Woodburn, Nicola McLean, Chloe Ferry, James Jordan and Coleen Nolan were all cast in the show, with the Loose Women panellist taking the crown.

Jess had similarly gushed about her betrothed in an Instagram post that touched on the difficult times in any relationship.

“Until I met Hunky Chops, I didn’t know that you could be in a relationship that embodies being an equal part of a team,” she wrote at the time.

“I can’t even begin to explain just how much I love him! Which is totally cheesy! I thought love was supposed to fizzle out, not get stronger and deeper in every way! And I still fancy his sock off 6 years later.”
