Boy George risks rift with Marilyn with plans to make biopic about him

Boy George risks an explosive rift with 80s singer Marilyn as he plans to make a biopic about him after being given more time to avoid bankruptcy over a £1.75 million debt owed to Culture Club’s ex-drummer Jon Moss

Cash-strapped Boy George was recently granted more time by a court to try to avoid bankruptcy over a £1.75 million debt owed to Culture Club’s ex-drummer Jon Moss.

Having put his London home on the market for £17 million, it seems he has found another way to make money — but at the expense of his friend, 80s singer Marilyn.

For I hear the pair are on the brink of an explosive rift after Boy George said online he planned to write a biopic about Marilyn, who became famous for his flamboyant cross-dressing. He wrote: ‘I’d call it the Teflon goddess.’

Marilyn — real name Peter Robinson — 60, said he felt exploited. Referring to Boy George by his nickname, ‘Gina’, he said: ‘She likes me controlled and way in the background. Can’t risk Marilyn getting any individual recognition.’

A spokesperson for Boy George was unavailable for comment.

Does being paid £100,000 a year to book restaurants and taxis tickle your fancy?

Well, I hear a mystery billionaire businessman in the capital is looking for a personal hotel-style concierge to mastermind his private life. Any takers?

Little beauty! It’s a girl for Vogue’s Tish

When Vogue’s beauty editor Tish Weinstock revealed she was expecting her second child with Lord Moyne’s son Tom Guinness, she joked the baby will be a ‘spare’.

Luckily, the couple, who have a son, Reuben, won’t need to worry about the issue of two warring brothers such as Princes William and Harry as, I can reveal, she’s had a girl.

Tish shared this picture of her, Tom and their daughter, writing: ‘Welcome to the world, Phoenix Fox Guinness.’

Few have proved as undaunted by adversity as Paralympian Jonnie Peacock. Aged just five, he was so severely afflicted by meningitis that his right leg had to be amputated below the knee.

Peacock went on to win 100m gold at the 2012 London Paralympics, aged 19, and to repeat the success four years later in Rio.

But the inspirational athlete, who also picked up a bronze at Tokyo in 2020, and a place on Strictly Come Dancing, now faces a rather different race against time — thanks to HM Revenue and Customs.

It has, I can reveal, issued a winding up order at the High Court against his company, Jonnie Peacock Limited. The firm has a deficit of £82,623.

Jonnie’s spokesman says: ‘Jonnie and his advisors are in conversation with HMRC.’ Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon

Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon’s latest fashion statement may have turned heads for the wrong reason as the heiress, 20, risked blocking the view of beachgoers by donning a ridiculously over-sized straw hat

Italian royal’s hat is final straw

Italian ‘It’ girl Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon has built a fanbase by showing off her style.

But her latest fashion statement may have turned heads for the wrong reason as the heiress, 20, risked blocking the view of beachgoers by donning a ridiculously over-sized straw hat.

In a snap shared with fans, she can be seen striking a pose in the headgear — and a gold, encrusted bikini.

But, it seems there was a practical reason for Carolina’s choice as she wrote: ‘When you want to be in the shade but also want to swim in the sea… so you end up buying a huge hat to do both.’
