Charlotte Crosby mum-shamed by fans as star airs her birth on national TV

Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has faced mum-shaming from viewers of her reality show Charlotte in Sunderland after showing footage of the birth of her daughter Alba.

Following the show's final episode the new mum, 32, shared some photos of the birth alongside a lengthy caption which began: "#CharlotteInSunderland – MY BIRTH.

"The day we met our Alba Jeanies will remain the most special day of my whole entire life! I think all parents will agree what’s a feeling!

"What an experience! I would redo that whole birthing experience every single day over and over and over again! and the fact I got to watch it all on #CharlotteInSunderland yesterday well wow goosebumps absolutely EVERYWHERE!"

Some viewers were quick to share some criticism of Charlotte, with some commenting on her acrylic nails.

One wrote: "How is it you got to keep your acrylic nails on?

"I’ve had 3 sections and wasn’t allowed as they need to be able to check the colour of your nail beds incase of any problems the colour of them is a good indicator apparently."

And a second replied: "I wondered this too I wasn't allowed nail varnish/polish on i had to pick the remaining off"

Others warned the TV star about the dangers of sharing her medical details online: "Such beautiful photos! But please be careful with putting your hospital number out to the world it’s confidential xx" wrote one.

"Would delete the nameband picture off… not good to have those whole details on the internet :(" commented another.

While another used the photos to criticise the current state of healthcare in the UK, commenting: "Amazing what private care gets you. No dig at Charlotte herself but so many women suffer etc who are less fortunate the nhs is shambles but if you go on a reality tv get drunk act a complete idiot you make millions and get have this kind of treatment something very wrong with this world. Your baby's beautiful glad you were both safe xx."

And a second shared similar sentiments, adding: "I’m glad yours was amazing and lovely but some women have horrendous births, awful midwife’s and staff and it’s very traumatic that causes issues thereafter both mentally and physically for mum and baby.

"Speak your truth but don’t believe every parent feels the same and don’t comment on their behalf it’s good yours was fantastic and you’d re do it but many wouldn’t x"

Shaking off the criticism Charlotte hinted at the possibility of a second series, writing: "It’s been a wild ride but that’s it’s from #CharlotteInSunderland the whole series is now available to binge watch over and over again on @bbciplayer.

"A huge thanks to @bbcthree & @bbciplayer for having my crazy family on your platform…………."

She then finished: "Who fancies a series 2 [winking emoji] ????"
