Christine McGuinness showed off her toned physique – and workout routine – during some "gym therapy" following her split from husband Paddy.

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 34, took to Instagram to share a clips of her hitting the weights in a gruelling session, beaming as she entered the private workout space.

She told her 682,000 followers: "It’s been a while. Today I needed some gym therapy, I got a good 45 minutes in and I feel so much better!"

The blonde beauty worked up a sweat in a skimpy, all-black gym outfit during a routine which included leg presses and some upper body work.

In a further Instagram Story post featuring a workout snap showing off her toned back, Christine praised parents who were juggling commitments during the summer school holidays.

She wrote: "Once the kiddies go back to school I can get myself back into a good routine.

"Shout out to all the parents and carers who are juggling work, kids and life right now… you're doing great #BackToSchool is almost here!"

But the exercise didn't stop there, with Christine later sharing another Story post of her doing yoga.

The model and mum-of-three recently admitted to feeling "a little lost" as she adjusted to life after splitting from husband of 11 years, Paddy McGuinness, 49.

Former beauty queen Christine and the Top Gear host called time on their marriage in a joint statement on Instagram last month.

The couple, who have nine-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and daughter Felicity, six, together, commented publicly after rumours had surrounded them for weeks.

The statement read: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

"This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our beautiful children."

A source told OK! their decision has been "a long time coming", adding "it had been a difficult few years for Christine and Paddy".

They claimed the couple's relationship "started to really break down" during her involvement in reality show The Games earlier this year when they spent time apart.

It was also reported that Christine "accused Paddy of flirting with another woman" in the lead up to them going their separate ways.
