Bijou Phillips, the wife of convicted rapist Danny Masterson, has filed for divorce.
The actress, according to TMZ, has filed to dissolve her marriage to the That 70s Show star just two weeks after he was handed a 30-year minimum prison sentence for two counts of rape.
Peter A. Lauzon, Phillips’ atttorney, told the site in a statement: “Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter.”
He added that the conviction was ‘unimaginably hard’ for their marriage and relationship.
The couple share one child, born in 2014.

Phillips had steadfastly by the side of her husband throughout his first rape trial in December 2022, and the subsequent retrial after the initial jury couldn’t reach a verdict.
Prosecutors retried Masterson in May this year, and he was found guilty on two counts after seven days of deliberation, with the 12 jurors deadlocked over their decision on a third.
Phillips was also in attendance at the time of his sentencing, and Masterson was seen ‘blowing a kiss’ to her from the stand as he was led from the court.
The couple first met at a celebrity poker match back in 2004, and married in an Irish castle in 2011.
Their daughter was born in February 2019.

Throughout the process of accusations made against Masterson, Phillips had continually stood by the side of Masterson and supported him.
She also sent a letter to the judge asking for leniancy in sentencing before he was given 30 years to life.
Calling him a ‘life-saving’ partner to Judge Olmedo, she pleaded for consideration into his role as a father.
“We need him more than you can imagine,” she wrote. “I know he has been convicted of serious crimes. But the man I married has only been an extraordinary husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter.”
Both rapes Masterson was convicted of happened at his Hollywood home 20 years ago. At the time, he was enjoying the fame brought to him by That 70s Show.
Prosecutors argued in court, alongside the testimony of those involved, that the actor drugged the women’s drinks in order to make them feel “woozy” before assaulting them.
The women were members of the Church of Scientology, and claimed Masterson used his standing within the church to avoid arrest.
They claimed they felt pressured by Church officials to suppress their allegations and not go to the police, before being put through ‘ethics programs’.
The church has denied these claims.
