Eamonn Holmes said his “terrible” mobility struggles have stopped him from securing work.
The GB News broadcaster, 63, addressed his ongoing health issues when he joined hosts Ben and Frazer on their YouTube channel, All Things Business.
“The biggest hurdle that I have had to experience is my mobility,” the former This Morning presenter remarked. “My health… I have damaged the discs in my back and they have damaged my legs and my walking.
“That’s been, for nearly two years, that has affected my life terribly.”
The longstanding broadcast journalist believed his health woes have impacted his doing more – such as presenting at award ceremonies.

Eamonn said: “It affects the type of programmes [I can do]. I’ve worked with you guys and I had to sit on a stool behind a podium – you guys accommodated me. Where there is a will there is a way.
“[My health] has been the single biggest challenge and continues to be the single biggest challenge.”
He was asked if his health has “cost him work” and Eamonn mused: “Yes. Of course, it has.”
The GB News Breakfast anchor revealed he “can’t walk” after spinal surgery in September last year, following which he suffered a horrific fall.
Eamonn underwent a spine and neck stretching procedure in a bid to improve his mobility, however, his wife Ruth Langsford spoke about his health.

Speaking to Woman & Home magazine, Ruth said: “With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy, but if something happens to somebody you love, you help them as much as you can. It’s testing but we manage as a family.”
The couple are parents to 21-year-old Jack who helps out with his dad’s health, but the Loose Women presenter admitted the family takes it day by day.
Elsewhere, Eamonn took to his X account, formerly Twitter, to mark a television milestone.
He tweeted: “37 years ago today. My debut on National television. Seems like yesterday. Where does the time go? Anyone remember or work on Open Air? I’ll talk about it on stage in Huddersfield Town Hall tonight. Pop down and have a listen.”
The first edition of Open Air was broadcast on BBC1 as part of BBC1’s new daytime programming which began in 1986.
