EastEnders’ Danny Dyer ‘conned’ after spending hundred on fake Louis Vuitton case

Former EastEnders star Danny Dyer has been scammed on eBay after he forked out hundreds of pounds on a fake Louis Vuitton case.

The actor, 45, was left red-faced by his purchase when it fell apart in public, causing all his clothes to spill out.

Danny had been filming an E4 travelogue in Italy with his daughter, Dani, at the time.

The 26 year old Love Island winner spoke about her dad's suitcase malfunction in a recent False Economy podcast episode.

She said: “We were at the airport and my dad turned up saying, ‘I’ve got this really lovely Louis Vuitton bag. It’s only a few years old.’"

She continued: “Then it just snapped — all his clothes went everywhere. We had to go to a Louis Vuitton store and buy a real one.

“He got conned badly. It was really funny. He said, ‘You live and you learn. Never buy something like that off eBay ’.”

But it wasn't just Danny senior who was conned out of hundreds of pounds but his daughter too.

Dani added that she was forced to pay out 500 euros when she failed to read the small print in her hotel's laundry room.

She said: “I got my laundry done at the hotel and it came to 500 euros. I thought I’d been conned, but when I looked it was six euros per knicker and 20 for a T-shirt.”

It comes after Danny recently quit his role on EastEnders as the BBC soap’s pub landlord Mick Carter. His dramatic exit left some fans in tears as Albert Square created a poignant tribute to his character.

Prior to his last episode, Mick had appeared to be "killed off" after first appearing in the soap nine years ago.

Mick tried to save his ex-wife Linda Carter, who he had just reunited with, after she and Janine Butcher drove off a cliff and into the English Channel, where he tragically disappeared at sea.

And during Wednesday night's episode, Albert Square's residents continued to be stunned over the news of Mick's disappearance as they paid tribute to the pub landlord.

Organised by Zack Hudson, Walford's residents paid tribute to Mick by leaving flowers and memorabilia from his beloved football team outside the Queen Vic.

Appearing on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan with Dani, Danny was grilled about his soap exit and any possible returns.

But without any hesitation he put the rumours to bed, saying: "It's an end of an era for me, I've had ten years in that show, it's a long stretch for me. It's time to move on."
