Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin were married for over a decade
They first met in 2002 when the actress was hanging out backstage at one of his concerts and were married by 2003.
The actress, 50, took to Instagram on Thursday with well-wishes writing: “Happy birthday to the sweetest father and friend. We love you,” with some heart emojis.
Fans fawned over the loving message and the pair’s sweet friendship after their break up, with author Jen Pastiloff sharing: “You inspire me as I go through my divorce.”
Leeron_14 added: “Divorced couple goals for sure.”
Although the pair “consciously uncoupled” in 2014, they have remained friends and co-parents to their children Apple, 18, and Moses, 16.
Chris celebrated his 46th birthday just a day after Gwyneth’s current husband, writer and producer Brad Falchuk, turned 52.
The Goop founder has notoriously good friendships with her famous exes, including Brad Pitt who she was engaged to in the late 1990s.
Despite being married for 13 years there are few photos of the couple
Chris and Gwyneth originally separated in 2014 and divorced in 2016.
The musician and the actress still co-parent their two children
In a 2020 interview, Gywneth noted that both her and the Coldplay star are “committed to putting (their children) first”.
Yesterday the actress shared a candid snap for her current husband
Gwyneth shared a wholesome picture of Brad Falchuk writing: “He won’t see this as he’s not on social (another reason why he’s so cool) but let’s all wish him a happy birthday, anyway.”
The couple have been married since 2018
They originally met in 2014 when Gwyneth guest-starred on Brad’s hit series Glee.
In the 1990s, Gwyneth was engaged to Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt
The pair amicably split in 1997 but have been long-time friends, with Gwyneth joking during a 2022 Goop interview with the Bullet Train star that she “finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry”.
