Hilary Swank and Husband Philip Schneider Welcome Twins

Hilary Swank’s twins have arrived! On April 9, Swank confirmed that she and her husband Philip Schneider welcomed their first two children, a baby girl and a baby boy. She shared a photo of herself taken from behind on Instagram, with the newborns’ heads visible as she held them in her arms.

“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it,” Swank wrote with two angel emojis. “Happy Easter! ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฃ Posting from pure Heaven. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ”

The “Alaska Daily” star first announced she was expecting twins during an October 2022 appearance on “Good Morning America.” At the time, the 48-year-old actor revealed that becoming a mother was a dream come true for her. “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I’m going to be a mom โ€” and not just of one, but of two,” she said.

On the same day, Swank also appeared on “Live With Kelly and Ryan,” where she went on to add that twins run in both her and Schneider’s families. “It’s double excitement,” she shared. “My grandmother was a twin, my husband’s grandmother was a twin, so we have twins in our lineage.”

Swank and her social venture entrepreneur husband tied the knot in Saint Lucia Preserve in Carmel, CA, in August 2018. In October 2022, she revealed to Extra that she has wanted to be a mom for years, but her commitment to her career and a lack of the right partner made her wait. However, having Schneider by her side made her feel like it was finally the right time.

Another sign that her twins were arriving in her life at just the right time? Her doctor told her they were due on her late father’s birthday. “It’s beautiful,” she told Extra. “It’s all aligning, and my dad, he was one of my favorite people in the world, so it is kind of like . . . this tribute of life with them being born on this birthday. He would be happy, elated for me. He just wanted me to have everything I wanted in my life, so I know it would be something that would bring him a lot of joy to see me in so much joy.”
