Holly Willoughby beaming as she arrives solo ahead of NTAs – after Phillip unfollows her

Holly Willoughby has been seen arriving at the hotel to start getting ready for the NTAs, the National Television Awards, tonight.

The This Morning star was positively beaming and all smiles as she strolled through the entrance in London ready for a night of excitement.

Wearing a super casual outfit as she prepared to don her latest red carpet glam style, Holly, 42, also greeted fans on her way.

She opted for a cotton white band T-shirt that featured the logo of 90s grunge group Blur on the front.

The presenter then teamed it with a pair of high-waisted cropped jeans and a pair of black gladiator-style sandals.

Holly finished her look with a black handbag slung over one shoulder and a pair of oversized matching sunglasses as she made her way past excited fans in west London.

The star's blonde locks fell in her natural wave and she chose a light lip gloss and face powder before the grand event.

Fans could also glimpse Holly's fresh nails for the major event as she donned newly-painted nude pink on her fingers and toes.

The star wore her wedding rings, but went jewellery-free otherwise, as viewers can expect to see some much glitzier pieces on show once the red carpet begins.

It comes as Holly shared a somewhat cryptic post about "releasing negativity" ahead of the event, and just as Phillip Schofield unfollowed her on Instagram.

Writing an update on her life and thoughts going into September with her Wylde Moon newsletter subscribers, the star said: "This week’s lunar phase is the Third Quarter Moon.

"It’s known as a good time to release negativity and any old habits that might be hindering you, which sounds very fitting for the new beginnings that come with the arrival of September.

"Let’s make every effort to shed anything that’s holding us back and move forwards with light, love and positivity," Holly added, also telling fans that after being "lucky" to have the summer off with her children, she was looking forward to returning to This Morning.

"Having been lucky enough to have this summer break to focus on the children, it’s now lovely to be back on the sofa and there was certainly joy in abundance with Alison Hammond today!" the star enthused.

This year's NTAs are the first awards show that Holly is attending without her former best pal and co-host Phillip Schofield in tow.

The pair were often the stars of the show, having taken the gong for best daytime TV presenters and TV show with This Morning every year since Holly joined in 2009.

But with Phillip stepping down from his role in May and later admitting to previously having an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a much younger colleague on set, Holly will now be joining forces with the rest of the This Morning team instead.
