Inside Peter Andre and pregnant Emily’s ‘magic’ Christmas plans with Junior and Princess – a long walk, stockings and gifts

Peter Andre and his wife Emily MacDonagh may be busy preparing to welcome a new arrival in 2024, but there's still Christmas to be had – their last as a blended family of six.

Already parents to children Amelia, nine, and Theo, seven, Emily is also a step mum to Peter's son Junior, 18, and daughter Princess, 16. And this festive season, the family will be together to celebrate in the Andre household, revealed the couple as they gave OK! an exclusive insight into their plans.

Emily, 34, admitted to having finetuned her Christmas Eve food prep plan so there is less to do on the big day, while on hand to help with the clean up of it all is their 'godsend' of two dishwashers.

As well as their “really weird” tradition of using old tights as stockings, they’ll take their usual frosty winter walk and stagger their gift-opening throughout the day.

“People think tights as stockings is weird, but we used to do it when I was little,” Emily laughed. “I remember my mum going through her tights drawer looking for pairs with ladders in them, then cutting them in half! I love that we have the same traditions now.”

While the couple can't wait for the celebrations, 2023 hasn't been smooth sailing since Emily announced her pregnancy this October – with the NHS doctor suffering with side effects over recent months.

Relentless nausea and reflux lasted long past the first trimester, and she admits she shed “a few tears” when she couldn’t even enjoy a cup of tea or eat a meal without feeling sick.

She told OK!: “When I ate, it got worse, so I had months of having to basically eat rabbit food. I’m starting to be able to enjoy food again now and it’s lovely. I’m getting the nursery blinds made and we’ve been up in the loft to dig out what we need. I found a teeny babygrow and some little bonnets and socks the other day, and I suddenly felt very excited.”

Pete, 50, added that it’s been an “emotional roller coaster” for NHS doctor Emily – and there’s even been a couple of a&e dashes along the way.

He explained: “I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”
