Jermain Defoe has sparked fears he has split from wife Donna Tierney, just months after the pair exchanged vows.
The former England footballer, 40, and Donna, also 40, tied the knot in a stunning ceremony worth £200,000 – covered exclusively by OK! – just over six months ago, but the pair's marriage is said to have hit a rocky patch already.
Jermain spent Christmas in St Lucia while Donna opted to stay at home in Glasgow, and eagle-eyed fans have also noticed that the mum-of-one has unfollowed her husband on Instagram and reverted back to using her maiden name, Tierney, online.
The couple have also removed the photographs of their big day from their social media accounts and have not shared any snaps together for over two months.
OK! has contacted representatives for Jermain.
A source told the Sun: "The marriage seems to be in trouble. You would think they would want to spend their first Christmas together as husband and wife but they haven't so things aren't looking at all good."
The footballer has only shared photos on social media without his wedding ring and both he and Donna have avoided mentioning each other in their posts, even during the festive period.
Donna has only shared images of herself and her family, and she recently wished her followers "all the love and happiness in the world" as she celebrated Christmas with her 12 year old daughter.

Donna and Jermain officially began dating in 2021, but the pair actually met years before things became romantic between them.
Revealing the origin of their love story, Jermain previously told OK!: “We met years ago when I was playing for Sunderland and I messaged her on Instagram. I sent her DM. We had a general chit-chat but hadn’t spoken for ages.
“When I started playing for Rangers in 2019 I remembered Donna was from Glasgow and touched base with her again – I kept looking at her sexy pictures on Instagram. But we didn’t meet until January 2021 when Donna asked if I could give her a signed football shirt for a charity do.”
After meeting each other's families, the pair soon fell in love and were sure that they'd met The One.
Jermain and Donna tied the knot at Cliveden House in June 2022, with the pair hosting a three-day wedding extravaganza, complete with fire-eaters, football a-listers and super-posh chicken kiev.
Surrounded by 360 friends and family and with her proud father, Charlie, by her side, Donna looked stunning in a bespoke lace-sleeved regal gown that was eight-months in the making.
