Joe Swash tests out activities at Haven Kent Coast holiday park
Joe Swash, who recently travelled down to Kent with his family for a staycation at Haven’s new flagship park on the coast, has opened up about a hilarious wardrobe malfunction he suffered on holiday in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.
The former EastEnders actor, who is married to fellow I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Stacey Solomon, recalled the fateful trip they took to a water park earlier this year.
Joe, 41, admitted that he couldn’t think of any “wild” holiday adventures he’d had with Stacey, 34, before recalling the cringe-worthy incident.
He said: “This year with Stacey, I bought these swimming shorts from Zara and they were white.
“But I knew they were swimming shorts because they had the netting inside,” he explained.

“I tried them on and I said to Stace, ‘Do you think they’ll be see-through? Can you see anything?’
“And she was like, ‘Nah, they’re fine, we’ll go to the water park with the kids’.”
Joe then went on to reveal that, unfortunately, the swimming trunks in question left very little to the imagination.
“I went to the water park and literally spent the day walking around with see-through shorts on,” he remembered.
“I didn’t realise until halfway through the day when someone pointed it out and I was like ‘Oh my god!’

“I had to go to the shop and buy some extra shorts because it was just ridiculous. It was quite obscene!”
Between them, Joe and Stacey share three children: four-year-old Rex, two-year-old Rose and newborn Belle.
In addition, Joe has a son named Harry, 16, from a previous relationship, while Stacey also has two sons from previous relationships: Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11.
This means the couple share six children between them in total, which can make travelling as a group a real challenge.
With this in mind, Joe went on to praise the newly revamped Haven Kent Coast holiday park, which has recently undergone an £18 million transformation to include lots of exciting activities for kids, including a 6m jump, segways and trampolines.
“I think it’s really important to go somewhere where it caters for the kids – where they’ve got enough entertainment and enough things to do,” he said.
“As long as they’re entertained, then holidays are a lot easier. That’s why I thought Haven Holiday Park was so amazing. There’s so much! I was honestly knocked sideways by how much they’ve got for the kids there.”
