JoJo Siwa Reflects on Her Beef With Rude Candace Cameron Bure

The former contestant of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ discusses her beef with the ‘Fuller House’ actress during her appearance in a new episode of Nick Viall’s ‘Viall Files’ podcast.

AceShowbizJoJo Siwa doubles down on labeling Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she has ever met. The former contestant of “Dancing with the Stars” discussed her beef with the actress during her appearance in the Thursday, July 27 episode of “Viall Files” podcast.

In the sit-down, JoJo admitted that she first felt guilty about giving Candace the title. However, she changed her mind after the “Fuller House” actress made controversial comments about the importance of keeping “traditional marriage at the core” of her TV network.

“I wish she was able to be a little more open, more accepting. I’m okay with calling her out in the way that I did,” JoJo told host and “The Bachelorette” alum Nick Viall. “For a while I regretted it, but after I found out that article about her not wanting anything to do [with] LGBTQIA+ … that’s my people. And I have to stand up for my people.”

JoJo, who is pansexual, pointed out that she took issues at Cameron specifically wanting to “make movies that had no representation of LGBTQIA+.” The “Dance Moms” alum explained, “It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, like … not everything needs to be gay essentially. But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that, ‘Too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional,’ that got to me a little bit.”

However, JoJo eventually came to terms that she and Cameron would never be able to see eye to eye. “After reading [the article], it gave me a little sense of, ‘OK, you and her are never going to agree, you and her are never going to be friends [or] get along,’ ” she said. “I’m never going to be able to change her, she’s not gonna be able to change me, we can both just live life.”

The drama between JoJo and Cameron started after the former called the “Full House” star the “rudest celebrity” during a TikTok challenge. JoJo claimed that she had a “rough experience” meeting Cameron when she was 11 years old.

The two eventually buried the hatchet after Cameron called JoJo to apologize. However, it didn’t last long because soon after, JoJo blasted Cameron for being “rude and hurtful” to the LGBTQIA+ community. At the time, Cameron was revealed to be joining the Great American Family network as she vowed to keep “traditional marriages” on screen.
