Kate Middleton looks beautifully festive as she hosts special Christmas carol service

Kate Middleton is set to return to Westminster Abbey to host a special Christmas carol service for the third year running.

Sharing the news in a new clip, The Princess Of Wales looked beautiful in a sparkling cream blazer ensemble, with her chocolate brown locks falling freely behind her shoulders.

"Join me this Christmas eve for a carol service as we say a heartfelt thank you to all those supporting the very youngest members of our society during their crucial early years," she said with a smile.

This year, the service will be a moment to thank all those who work to support babies, young children and families in our communities across the UK and a celebration of the golden opportunity that the birth of a new baby brings.

Linked to Her Royal Highness’ Shaping Us campaign, the service will showcase the hope of new life and why it is so important to build supportive, nurturing worlds around children and the adults in their lives.

A number of famous faces will be coming along too, with performances from stars such as Freya Ridings, James Bay and a duet from Adam Lambert and Beverly Knight.

While the Prince and Princess Of Wales official Instagram account shared a clip to their profile showing some other celebrities who had received invites, including Tom and Giovanna Fletcher, Dr. Alex George and Zara McDermott.

Zara has previously spoken how she feels 'honoured' to be working with Kate on the Shaping Us campaign, becoming an ambassador for it. While Giovanna has also worked with Kate on the campaign, as well as welcoming her onto her Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast.

The event will be broadcast as part of Royal Carols: Together At Christmas, a special programme, airing at 7:45pm on ITV1 and ITV X on Christmas Eve.

Last year, Kate also fronted the service and dedicated it to the late Queen and to “all those who are sadly no longer with us".

Kate began the carol service tradition in 2021 at Westminster Abbey, a place which undoubtedly already holds a place in her heart as it's where she tied the knot to husband William in 2011.

Often doing her bit, Kate was recently seen at St Thomas's Hospital in Central London to open the new Children’s Day Surgery Unit at Evelina London.

Kate, who has been Patron of the organisation since 2018, has previously made a number of public and private visits to meet staff members and their young patients and has praised the important work they do.
