Katie Price in ‘neighbour row’ at new home as fiancé Carl Woods is ‘reported to council’

Katie Price has become entangled in a neighbour dispute after her fiancé Carl Woods was reported to the council, according to reports.

The 45 year old former glamour model spoke earlier this month about how she had quit her £2m Mucky Mansion in West Sussex ahead of her bankruptcy hearing because she was convinced the property gave her “bad luck”. Despite ploughing money into the mansion to renovate it, she and car salesman fiance Carl, 34, moved out and set up home in a rented property in Essex.

But it has been reported that Carl’s ‘thriving business’ has been brought to the attention of council bosses after neighbours spotted several cars parked outside the new home. Under planning rules, the storing and selling of cars from a private residential address could be considered an unauthorised change of use of the property.

A source told The Sun: “Neighbours spotted several cars parked outside the new home in Essex and have reported him to the council. They haven’t applied for a licence to run a business from the home and cars are always coming and going – it’s really loud.”

It is understood the cars have now left the property after the council contacted Carl and Katie. A representative for Carl said: “Carl was not conducting any form of business activity from his personal address. Carl simply resides at the property and his successful car dealership is run from a separate secure unit that his company rents.

"Carl has no ongoing enforcement cases with the local council."

OK! has also approached Katie’s reps for comment.

Katie and Carl have previously had run-ins with the council over second hand cars. When she was living in her Mucky Mansion, local town hall officials launched an investigation into the "alleged running of a second-hand car business". However, the case was closed in March last year.

In October last year, a second case was opened, which is reportedly still "pending consideration" – with enforcement action yet to be decided.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Katie admitted that she’d rather go to prison than keep having to attend bankruptcy court hearings in a candid interview with Michelle Visage.

She said: “I've been to court more times and I've had hot dinners lately and I am not scared of court anymore.”

She revealed she had actually asked to be “put in prison to cover it all” in a bid to “just be done with it.” The star said that she was “fed up” with constant court reminders and that she doesn’t care if she has to go to prison to avoid them.

Katie even said that she even thought it could be a “win-win.”

“I love all the prison stuff and I can experience what it’s like in there,” she said. She went on to explain that she thought she could “come out and do a story” about her time behind bars.

The mum of five was recently forced to attend a hearing at The Royal Courts of Justice in London after being accused of a “breach of income payments agreement.” She’s set to return to court for another bankruptcy hearing on 14 September.

The star declared bankruptcy in 2019, but was once reported to be worth a staggering £45 million.
