Lady Gaga, 36, explained her Chromatica Ball concert, which was being held in Miami on Saturday evening, was forced to come to a drastic end after a severe tropical storm. The star could be seen crying as she apologised to her fans in a two minute clip.
The Bad Romance singer stated: “We really tried to finish the show tonight in Miami.”
However, she stated that it was important to prioritise the safety of her fans and the lighting crew.
Before long, lightning began “striking down so close” to the venue.
In the emotional clip which the singer sent out to her 53.2 million followers, Lady Gaga thanked those who attended the concert.
After a brief pause, the Grammy Award winner stated, “Look, I know that for a very long time, I’ve always wanted to be like that hardcore bad b***h.
“What I really want is to also be responsible and loving.
“I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to anyone in the audience, or to any member of my crew, my band, my dancers.”
“So, I’m sorry that we didn’t get to do the epic performance of Rain On Me in the rain,” she added, showing she was able to maintain her sense of humour.
She furthered: “What’s worth it more to me is life.”
The Star Is Born actress picked up a bouquet of red roses she said a fan had thrown onto the stage and said she would “cherish them forever”.
She concluded: “It took so much and my heart to get to a place where I could perform and be healthy.
“And I hope you know, that part of why I decided not to finish the show was because I am healthy.
“It’s a healthy decision for all of you and myself as well.”
Ahead of Saturday’s concert, the singer was seen partying on Friday as she enjoyed Miami’s nightlife.
The concert marked the end of her North American tour dates.
The Chromatica Ball is the sixth headlining concert tour by Lady Gaga and is to promote her newest album, Chromatica.
It was released in 2020, with the tour pushed back twice due to Covid related delays.
Eventually, she kicked off the performance in Dusseldorf in July.
