MAFS UK expert Paul C. Brunson admits there’s a ‘major issue’ with the 2022 series

Married At First Sight UK expert Paul C. Brunson has admitted there has been a “major issue” with the current series of the show.

The relationship mentor, 46, shared his feelings as he responded to a fan on Twitter who had pointed out the guidance of the experts on the series being “miles off”.

After writing: “Love PCB but what is going on with the experts this episode??? Miles off reality! @MAFSHysteria @PaulCBrunson #MAFSUK”, Paul replied: “I completely agree.”

He continued: “As I’m watching the series with you, I realize a major issue is that we’re not seeing what happens outside the dinner parties and commitment ceremonies.

“This year, the stories are moving so quick that without that further context, our commentary is off. #MAFSUK”.

Paul’s comments comes after he was seen last week having to intervene at the penultimate commitment ceremony, after arguments exploded.

While Paul was praised by fans for stepping in to diffuse the tense atmosphere, it seems many are not happy with how he and his fellow experts have handled their advice when it comes to certain couples on the couch.

After the experts deemed Matt and Whitney, who got together while married to different partners in the experiment, as deserving to be on MAFS, fans have lost faith in the professional group on the show.

Paul’s agreement of being “off” as an expert currently on the series, sparked more reactions from fans, as one wrote: “There was way too much trying to justify why Matt and Whitney deserve to be there by the experts tonight.

“You can justify it as much as you like but the fact remains that the programme is about getting MARRIED at first sight, which they are not.”

Another said: “Thank you for clarifying this. Since Episode 3 my hubby & I have been saying, ‘but, when did….?’, ‘why’s she so upset?’, ‘didn’t they know….?’

“Feels like we are missing a lot – makes Thomas look super irrational, as we feel we are not seeing everything he’s seen/heard.”

Paul admitted to feeling “lost” along with the fan, as he responded: “It appears that almost one week of content is being edited down to a single episode.

“I was there and even I am getting slightly lost.”

A third viewer added: “I’m glad that Paul clarified this as i’ve been confused as to why the experts have been off during recent eps!

“I feel like they should be shown sooo much more, as should we. “
