Sharing a positive update from the hospital, the ‘Big Sexy Thang’ spitter lets out a video of him holding the pain while learning to walk again after breaking his hip and femur in the accident.
AceShowbiz –Lil Duval is on the road to recovery after his recent ATV accident in the Bahamas. The rapper/comedian has shown his speedy recovery while remaining in the hospital following the scary collision.
On Thursday, August 4, Duval shared a positive update on his recovery. Making use of his Instagram account, he let out a video showing him learning to walk again while seemingly holding his pain.
In the clip, someone filmed the 45-year-old as he struggled to push the pedals of a walking machine while sitting on a wheelchair. “There you go,” the man behind the camera encouraged him as the funnyman counted to ten.
He appeared to be breathing heavily but was relieved after finishing the session. “Ask anybody that ever had a broke hip and femur could they do this in a week. and i did this with no PAIN MEDICINE!” he boasted in the caption, adding, ” ‘m bout to show y’all how God really work #walkingtestimony.”
Duval, born Roland Powell, got involved in an accident on July 26. He was riding a 4-wheeler when he was hit by a car. He was airlifted to a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida hospital. In a video he shared at the time, he was wincing in pain while laying out on a gurney as medical professionals attended to him. His arm was bandaged and it appears that he was also injured in the ribs.
In an aftermath of the accident, he shared on Twitter that he was in “so much pain.” He wrote, “I appreciate everybody checking up on me but if you call and i don’t pick up don’t take it the wrong way. I’m really fuk up and can’t move cuz I’m in so much pain.”
In late July, the “Big Sexy Thang” emcee gave a closer look at a nasty gash on his hip and one of his elbows. “My leg was so messed up. i didn’t even know i had all these road rashes until last night,” he penned in the caption, before jokingly adding, “It’ll heal tho I’m wolverine.”
He also shared a video of himself trying to stand up from what appeared to be a wheelchair. “I f**ked up,” he chanted, before singing Beyonce Knowles‘ “Break My Soul”. He then told his fans in the accompanying message, “I have risen [a number of crying laughing emojis] stop worrying about me God really got me as a testimony.”
