Orange is the New Black final season trailer

Dascha Polanco took to social media to announce a new addition to her family and share that she was expecting her first grandchild.

The 40-year-old shared a sweet photo with her pregnant daughter, Dasany Kristal Gonzalez captioned: “Just got a promotion.”

As the 21-year-old is expecting a baby boy, both Dascha and the expectant mother wore blue dresses to match the theme.

The actress stunned in a velvet number with matching earrings as she smiled and bent over to cradle to the adorable baby bump.

While Dasany posed in a long-sleeved gown which was sheer on the top half with sequinned detailing.

Thousands of Dascha’s 3.3 million Instagram followers took to her comments with praise and astonishment at her new milestone.

@Imperial_gworl wrote: “Y’all are gorgeous so happy for you guys!”

As @roz181 added: “Congratulations !!!! Oh my God !!! Glam- ma loading.”

@Jessika_rai praised: “Yassss sis finna be somebody fine ass Abuela!” (sic)

The star also received commendations from her Hollywood pals including actress Shanola Hampton who wrote: “No way!!!!!!! Congrats my love!”

While Dascha’s Orange is the New Black co-star Uzo Aduba added: “Ahhhhh!!!!! Congratulations to you both!!!!! So exciting!!!!!”

Dasany initially announced her pregnancy earlier this month, with photos from the maternity shoot alongside her boyfriend, Dione.

Alongside snaps from her baby shower, she wrote: “We already love you to the moon and back.. countdown till your arrival baby boy.”

In a 2020 interview, Dascha opened up about the hardships of being a teenage mother, after welcoming her daughter as 17 years old.

She told Parents Latina: “It made me feel self-conscious and affected my confidence.”

The In The Heights star later gave birth to her second son, Aryam, at age 25 and while she longer in a relationship with his father, they shared “respect” and co-parents without any “drama.”

Orange Is the New Black seasons 1-7 are available to stream on Netflix.
