Lottie Moss has opened about her experience of rehab after she checked herself in for a stint last year.
The former model and Onlyfans star admitted herself into a facility in the US after candidly sharing that she had a “really bad coke addiction.”
Lottie, 25, has since confessed that it was the words of a friend that prompted her to seek help.
Speaking to The Sun, Lottie said: “I didn’t know how depressed I was, because I’d pushed it so far down and covered it up with substances and alcohol.”
The ex model, who is the younger half-sister of supermodel Kate Moss, went on to explain that her “best friend” sat her down in the midst of her addiction and said, “This is breaking my heart. You need help.”
It was the push she needed and she checked herself into a residential facility shortly after.
“It was what I needed,” the star said, adding that she’s “sober now” and doing much better.
Lottie said that while she still puts “too much pressure” on herself she’s in a much happier frame of mind at the moment.
Looking back on her troubled past, Lottie says that she links her addiction issues to her days as a teenage model.
Lottie first graced the pages of Vogue at the tender age of 13 and signed to a modelling agency shortly after.
Lottie decided to follow in Kate’s footsteps and pursue a career in the industry, but it ended up being a mistake that made her miserable.
She discovered that her life as a model would be “very much controlled”, down to what she ate and even who she dated.
Lottie shared that she had to get her team’s permission to do anything new to her hair and was forced to attend regular appointments with a nutritionist.
The former model said that when she quit the industry at 23, she felt like she had lost direction in her life.
Now 25, the star makes most of her money via her OnlyFans, having previously said that she can rake in up to £70,000 a month on the platform.
She’s also trying her hand at reality TV and is set for a stint on E4 reality series Celebs Go Dating alongside Love Island stars Chloe Burrows and Adam Collard, and TalkTV presenter Vanessa Feltz.
It will see her date everyday members of the public as she tries to find love – although, according to reports, she might have already hit it off with one of her co-stars.
