Love Island viewers have become convinced that two couples on the show have had sex – but it just hasn't been mentioned.

Fans of the hit ITV2 show were left adamant that some of the fan favourites have become intimate. Taking to social media, those watching both couples' antics, expressed their views.

One fan said: "Weird thing to think about I know but by this time a couple of the couples have had that special moment. I feel like there’s been no constant couples this season probably the worse for it."

They added: "It hasn’t been mentioned once this season."

Replying to the thread which had gathered momentum, many believed that the couples were definitely having a bit of nocturnal fun under the bed covers.

Another fan said: "They both woke up very much naked lol."#

Another added: "They had so little camera time in the hideaway they must’ve been unwatchable."

And a third said: "Absolutely, multiple times. I don't know about anyone else though since the show doesn’t really discuss or show things anymore."

Another said: "I think [they] did because of [the] 'I wanna rip your clothes off' comment tonight and she was very unbothered like 'ok do it lol' which, to me, is the vibes given once you’ve already gone there as a couple and the nervousness/fake coyness is gone lol."

According to reports, producers of the show are less inclined to show raunchy scenes in a bid to protect the privacy of the islanders.

But that hasn't always been the case. Last year, Islander Paige Thorne was erotically spanked on the bum with a whip by Jacques O'Neill and winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti who have now split, got hot and heavy under the sheets.

But the reason behind producers not wanting to air raunchy scenes is down to a fear of receiving Ofcom complaints.

As source told The Sun: "ITV really don’t want to end up with a load of Ofcom complaints about it being too explicit and they are very mindful of their pledge of a duty of care to contestants."

Former winners Millie and Liam took their budding relationship to an intimate level. Another source told the publication: " “They romped over the bed covers and it went on for ages."

The added: "The footage was quite explicit and producers were miffed because they couldn’t air any of it. Millie spent a long time straddling Liam and stripped off her nurse’s outfit. It meant that the footage had to be cut cleverly for broadcast and video editors had to get creative."
