Love Island star got ‘told off’ for playing a ball game in the villa

Former Love Island star, Chris Taylor has revealed that he got "told off" for playing a ball game during his time in the villa.

Chris, 32 quickly caught the attention of viewers during his time on Love Island back in 2019, famously known for inventing the iconic 'salmon' pool dive and becoming one of the funniest stars of all time.

While he was only in the villa for 15 days, he certainly made an impression and went on to keep his almost 1 million Instagram followers updated with humorous videos and is now starring in the new Barbie movie after speaking to Margot Robbie about "small penises and big balls."

But his bubbly and energetic character didn't come without warnings after a ball game led to a "proper telling-off" from the Love Island producers.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Chris said: "You weren't really made aware of the rules a lot of time.

"Me and the boys were once playing a game with an orange, which I think I made up where we were throwing it to each other. You had to catch it one-handed and if you caught it two-handed or dropped it, you had to go jump in the pool.

"But it was really late on in the day, someone threw it to me and I dropped it so we all ran towards the pool and they came over the tannoy and said 'Chris don't' and I was like 'What, why?' and they just went 'Chris don't'.

"In my head, I was like, 'You're not giving me a reason, I'm going to do it – unless you can tell me why I shouldn't do it, I'm going to do it.'

"So I did it and I got a proper telling off for it.

"But I think that was because I undermined them. You have to kind of respect what you're told to a degree. How you do things is up to you, but there's a certain amount of obeying of what they say goes".

The 32 year old remains good friends with a number of islanders from his 2019 series including Danny Williams, Greg O'Shea and Francesca Allen, he also still lives with co-star Michael Griffiths.

Asking if he'd ever return to Love Island he replied: "I probably wouldn't, no.

"It's a period of my life where I've done it, I can't see what can be gleaned from doing it again."

Asking the Love Island star if he's been keeping up with this year's summer series he replied: "Yeah, I'm enjoying it, it's good, it's very dramatic.

"I like Whitney, she's my favourite.

"I think Whitney and Lochan are going to win by a landslide. I don't know why, I just feel like Whitney is by far the most likeable person in there.

"She's got loads of personality, she's funny but she's also got her head on her shoulders. She's quite smart and gives good advice, a good all-rounder and she does come out with some funny stuff every now and again. She's definitely my favourite."

He went on to add: "I quite like Tyrique as well, I know he's been a naughty boy in there, but he's kind of reformed. He's honest but says everything while laughing, so you can't not like him".

Chris added: "You've got to remember, you're watching an entertainment show, yeah there might be people you might not like, but you've got to appreciate them for what they're doing for entertainment purposes.

"If they're bringing drama and it's funny, it makes making the show entertaining. You might not like their character, but you've got to appreciate what they're doing for you at home."
