Former Love Island contestant Antigoni Buxton called the show’s recoupling last night “iconic” as she spoke about the tense villa showdown on Instagram.

Yesterday, the Islanders reunited following a few days separated in Casa Amor, with some bringing back bombshells to form new couples awkwardly for those who were already attached.

Antigoni, 26, had much to say about the recoupling as she deemed it one of Love Island’s best, and gave her prediction on which couple will become the new Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, matching their success in love following being on the show.

The evicted bombshell first spoke about Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope’s confrontation, as the former couple both selected one of the Casa Amor bombshells to partner up with.

“Indiyah said ‘may the best heartbreaker win’ — absolutely iconic line,” Antigoni said in a video.

“Especially as they both clearly broke each other’s hearts in that moment. I would have felt awkward standing next to either of them. They might as well have just lipsed right there. “

On a more positive note, the singer turned her attention to Gemma Owen and Luca Bish’s sweet reunion after they remained loyal to each other following Casa Amor.

Antigoni said: “Gemma and Luca stayed solid and its beautiful to see. They give Tommy and Molly-Mae vibes because people keep doubting them and they keep coming through.”

She then discussed the rest of the Islanders’ dramatic outcomes in the recoupling.

Antigoni said: “Ekin-Su said that Davide failed his test. But I wonder if she’ll tell him that she was taking secret exams with one of the Casa Amor boys", referencing the Turkish actress’ steamy night in bed with bombshell George Tasker.

She continued: “Tasha and Andrew’s rollercoaster clearly has a couple more twists and turns, I can feel it. Let’s just hope it's not a Final Destination rollercoaster.”

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page had a bitter reunion, as Tasha brought back bombshell Billy Brown, while Andrew recoupled with Coco Lodge, though it was clear he still had feelings for Tasha and appeared visibly hurt by the situation.

Antigoni finished her review as she talked about Jacques O’Neill stepping out on Paige Thorne with Casa Amor bombshell Cheyanne, though he decided to remain in a couple with Paige afterwards.

She said: “Jacques thought that he could go on a boys’ holiday and have what happened stay there. But the v-word he’s looking for is Vegas, and this is the villa."
