Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimente met during their time on Love Island season eight and appeared like a match made in heaven. However, in June they shockingly announced they had split following an 11 month relationship.

And Ekin-Su remained fairly tight-lipped about the reason behind why they parted ways… until now.

Breaking her silence on the split, the 28-year-old revealed what she'd do differently if she got the chance again.

When asked what advice she'd give to the new couples who have just left the villa, Ekin-Su said she would live the relationship 'privately'.

During her BPerfect summer lunch event at 14 Hills in London, the star said: "If you're in a relationship coming out of the villa you need to realise you're in a relationship.

"You need to realise there is a lot of eyes on you and live it privately, have your own space and trust your partner, communicate with your partner, don’t rush to live with them straight away. You need to get to know each other, like in the villa you know each other but you don’t know each other really."

She continued to tell MailOnline: "Really get to know each other and then when the time is right move in together and enjoy every moment because it is a great experience and sometimes relationships last forever and you get married and have kids and Love Island is a great platform."

Ekin-Su's latest comments about her relationship come after a recent awkward run-in when she and Davide bumped into each other while on the red carpet at the Barbie premiere in London.

In fact, it was the first time that the former reality TV couple came face to face since deciding to call time on their relationship.

Stood just inches apart while on the red carpet, their awkward exchange was captured by an eagle-eyed fan on TikTok.

In one part of the clip, Ekin-Su is seen looking around until she notices that her ex Davide is standing just a couple of feet away from her.

Then in an apparent bid to pretend she didn't notice him, the star tossed her long tresses over her shoulder and turned the other direction.

And it seems like Davide was in same mindset as he too did his best to avoid an awkward conversation.
