MasterChef hopeful Jonny left in tears after brutal critique from judge John Torode for serving up hairy pork
MasterChef contestant Jonny was left in floods of tears during Tuesday night’s episode after he was lambasted for serving up hairy pork.
The hopefuls were tasked by food critic William Sitwell to come up with dishes that paid tribute to Britain’s most popular celebrity chefs.
But 31-year-old Jonny’s efforts left a lot to be desired after the meat he served came with some unwanted extras.
As judges John Torode, 57, and Gregg Wallace, 58, gave their critique of Jonny’s food, John insisted he preferred his pork to be free of hair.
The brutal critique as a result of the unfortunate situation left Jonny in tears as he was voted out of the competition.

It comes after Gregg left viewers shocked during the first episode of the new series of MasterChef after refusing to try a contestant’s food.
The TV personality returned alongside his co-host John to judge the offerings of nine new hopeful amateur chefs.
However things got off to an awkward start when Gregg told one of the contestants that is ‘undercooked’ chicken was making him feel ‘uncomfortable’.
Contestant Woei was in a race against time to get his food ready to be served up in under five minutes to present to Gregg and John.
He told the show’s floor manager: ‘Under control, don’t worry, the sauce is done. Hopefully it doesn’t blow John and Gregg away with the heat.’
Despite his finished meal looking delicious, it was quickly rebuffed by Gregg who said he wouldn’t be able to eat it.
Woei served up marinated chicken with tomato and chilli sauce with blue basmati rice and tempura curry leaves.
Things got off to a positive start, as John told him: ‘I love that sauce. Rich and buttery, sweet with tomato and nice chilli heat running through the back of it.

Not impressed: Things got off to an awkward start when Gregg told one of the contestants that his ‘undercooked’ chicken was making him feel ‘uncomfortable’
‘The thing with the curry leaf, it’s nice and crispy but because they are curry leaves, they stay quite greasy.’
Next, Gregg initially praised the dish for its ‘light and fluffy rice’, before moving on to the ‘undercooked chicken’.
Admitting he felt ‘uncomfortable’, Gregg explained: ‘I have issues with this chicken. there’s a pink tinge on the insides of my bits of chicken, which is putting me off.
‘They’re undercooked. Not all of it but enough to make me uncomfortable.’
Woei took the comments on the chin, and said: ‘You have to learn how to take criticism as well. Resilience is the most important part of life.’
Woei however did make it through to the next stage of the competition with three other hopefuls.
Masterchef returned with a bang on Monday evening – as the judges praised a contestant for the ‘best Ackee and saltfish’ they’d ever seen on the show.
But while the judges were wowed by one ‘outstanding’ aspiring chef, viewers at home were less impressed, branding the contestants as the ‘most annoying’ to date.
Matthew, 33, an IT project coordinator from Wolverhampton, won over the judges with his Caribbean cooking.
He presented Gregg and John with a classic Ackee and salt fish with coconut and lime rice.
Stunned at such a success so early in the show, Gregg said: ‘Matthew that is the prettiest and smartest Ackee and salt fish I’be ever seen. That tastes fantastic.
Good work: Matthew, 33, stunned the judges with his Ackee and salt fish, which they called the best they’d ever seen earlier this week
‘There is absolutely nothing that would stop me demolishing that plate and asking for another one.’
John added: ‘This is the best Ackee and saltfish I’ve ever eaten. Ever!’
The tasty dish quickly won Matthew one of the first aprons of the series, as he progressed through to the next round.
