Meghann Fahy says she 'almost threw up' before meeting Taylor Swift

The White Lotus star Meghann Fahy says she ‘almost threw up’ and began ‘crying involuntarily’ while meeting Taylor Swift for the first time

Meghann Fahy opened up about being intimidated while meeting Taylor Swift for the first time during an interview with W Magazine that was shared on Tuesday.

When the 33-year-old performer was asked about the last time that she was properly starstruck, she revealed that she was nearly unable to handle an encounter with the Karma singer.

The cast member of The White Lotus, who recently accompanied one of her costars to Wimbledon, then admitted that the hitmaker could not have been easier to spend time with during their meeting.

Fahy began by remarking that she nearly became physically ill with excitement after she first met Swift.

The actress stated: ‘I couldn’t have been more starstruck. I almost threw up before meeting her. I saw her from across the room, and I just started crying involuntarily. I was so embarrassed.’

The actress then expressed that she tried her best to conceal her emotions from the 33-year-old songwriter.

She recalled that ‘I was like, I cannot say hello to her with tears in my eyes. I have to pretend to be seminormal, but I don’t think I fooled her.’

Fahy then admitted that the Lavender Haze singer picked up on her reaction and calmed her down before they spoke about the actress’ recent work.

‘She put her arm around me, and she was like, you’re fine. She watched [The White Lotus], which was insane. That was a true highlight for me,’ she stated.

Swift was not the only celebrity that the performer spoke about during her interview, as she also discussed working with Aubrey Plaza.

The pair costarred as Daphne Sullivan and Harper Spiller during The White Lotus’ second season, which aired last year.

Fahy expressed that her castmate had helped her flesh out her character while they prepared to work on the show.

She stated that Plaza ‘actually helped me coin the term “Zen Mommy,” which is what we used to describe Daphne. That’s her to a T.’
