Michael Buble Joins Foo Fighters On 'Haven't Met You Yet' At Outside Lands

Foo Fighters recently teamed up with Michael Buble to perform his 2009 hit single “Haven’t Met You Yet.”

As a way to introduce Foo Fighters’ new live drummer Josh Freese, frontman Dave Grohl had dedicated a portion of the band’s show to running through some of Freese’ previous work in acts including Devo, Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys, and Buble. However, as Grohl is unfamiliar with the lyrics to Buble’s “Haven’t Met You Yet,” he recently began welcoming fans to the stage who claim to know the song from the musician’s 2009 Crazy Love album.

During Foo Fighters’ headlining set at Outside Lands on Saturday, August 12, Grohl called up a “super fan” who was holding a sign that read, “I Love Buble.” As it turned out, the super fan was none other than Buble himself.

“This motherf***er better know the song,” Grohl joked before Buble got up onstage and sang the single with the band.

“We’ve been doing that thing where people from the audience come up and say ‘I know that f***ing song,’ and they walk up and they know the first verse, they don’t know it,” Grohl said. “So this bad ass motherf***er — and I’m not even kidding — flew in today from Argentina to f***ing sing that song to you guys. Because there’s no such thing as taking a joke too far.”

Foo Fighters are set to perform at several more festivals and headlining shows in both North and South America through the end of the year.
