EXCLUSIVE: Sasha Obama is the epitome of LA cool as she sports fuzzy slippers and glam shades while leaving the gym

Sasha Obama is taking after her mother when it comes to prioritizing fitness. 

The 22-year-old daughter of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama was spotted working up a sweat on a treadmill at a gym in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday. 

Sasha was photographed heading to her car after her workout in a royal blue tank, which she wore layered over a light yellow sports bra and paired with black flared leggings.

She topped off her gym look with a pair of cozy Sherpa clogs, her sneakers likely stored in a locker or the large canvas bag that she had slung across her shoulders.

Sasha wore a royal blue tank top and black flared leggings for the gym outing 

The former first daughter had her long micro braids pulled back into a ponytail, and her eyes were covered by a pair of black sunglasses, even though she was in a dim parking lot. 

Sasha still had her headphones on and carried her cellphone and hunter-green Hydro Flask in her hand. 

Her signature acrylic nails were perfectly manicured and painted what appeared to be a shade of pale blue. 

Sasha seems to be a regular at the gym and was seen leaving the same location a few weeks ago after running on a treadmill. 

Fitness has always been a priority to the Obamas, and her parents used to work out every day when they were in the White House. 

Sasha’s mother, Michelle, would wake up as early as 4:30 in the morning to exercise and would host boot camps for her friends, which earned her the nickname ‘Drillmaster.’ 

The former first lady shared last year that her approach to fitness has changed since she left the White House, and she is now more focused on stretching than cardio.

‘Some of it is menopause, some of it is aging,’ Michelle, 59, told People. ‘I find that I cannot push myself as hard as I used to. That doesn’t work out for me. That’s when I tear a muscle or pull something and then I’m out. The recovery time is not the same.’

Sasha’s latest outing comes a few days after she was seen visiting a Subaru dealer in Los Angeles. 

The University of Southern California graduate, who already owns a Subaru, was seen chatting with an employee and handing him her keys at one point.

It’s unclear whether she visited the dealership to get a new car or to have something fixed on hers.

Sasha moved to Los Angeles last year after transferring from the University of Michigan to USC to finish college.

The former first daughter graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, but her next moves remain unknown.

The Obama girls seem to have inherited their father’s taste for nicotine. 

The father was also a regular smoker prior to entering the White House and was seen chewing on Nicorette gum several times to fight the habit. 

In his memoir ‘A Promised Land,’ he credits Malia with getting him to quit, writing that she ‘frowned’ at him after ‘smelling a cigarette on my breath.’

He said he ‘ceaselessly’ chewed nicotine gum to stop, but years later, his daughters picked up the same habit.
