Pamela Anderson details boozy night with ‘frisky’ and ‘fascinating’ Julian Assange in London… and reveals Russian president Vladimir Putin ‘got a kick out of her’ on visit to the Kremlin

Pamela Anderson opened up about life experiences involving WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin in a new interview with Variety.

Anderson, 55 – who is promoting her forthcoming memoir Love, Pamela – chat about her longstanding ties with Assange, as the duo was romantically linked during a time she visited him at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The Baywatch star said that she and Assange engaged in a ‘frisky’ exchange at the embassy while consuming the distilled alcoholic beverage Mezcal.

‘It was romantic because it was so inspirational,’ Anderson said. ‘He’s so passionate about life and about everything.

She said of Assange, ‘There’s just nothing that he says that isn’t fascinating. So there was definitely a connection. We would just talk through the night and drink Mezcal and laugh and tell stories.’

Anderson described Assange’s incarceration as ‘heartbreaking’ and ‘an interesting hypocrisy,’ as ‘he’s in a supermax prison in solitary confinement while he’s awaiting a trial, and all of these other people are breaking the law all over the place and no one’s in jail.’

Anderson said that she has sent letters to Assange via his legal team.

The Ladysmith, Canada-born star also spoke about how Putin ‘got a kick out of her’ when she visited the Kremlin to speak about animal rights.

‘I’d be at the Kremlin, sitting at the table, and everybody would be there,’ she said. ‘And I would be rustling my papers with my dolphin pictures and my beluga whales getting hypothermia and pleading across the table to these people that actually did things in real time.

Anderson continued: ‘Putin was only in the room once, but he heard of everything. I would get messages from other people that he was pleased that I was there – he kind of got a kick out of me.’

In regards to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Anderson said, ‘I don’t know what the right thing is to say right now, because it’s horrible.’

The Barb Wire actress, who said she voted for President Joe Biden three years ago, said her political philosophy boils down to ‘just keep supporting human beings.’

Love, Pamela is set to be released at the end of the month.
