Patsy Palmer and her children delighted husband Richard Markell this week as they banded together to celebrate his birthday.
The couple, who first began dating after Patsy, 50, took a career break from her iconic role as Bianca Jackson in EastEnders, tied the knot in 2000, after being friends for 14 years before that.
Together, they went on to have three children, all of which were present to celebrate Richard’s special day on Monday, as the family marked the occasion by taking a cooking class together!
Documenting the family day out on Instagram, Patsy shared a selection of snaps from the day, including some of her rarely-seen children as they partied away alongside their ex-cab driver dad.
Alongside the images, Patsy wrote: “Happy Birthday @richardmerkell. Thankyou @gordonramsayacademy for hosting us today. We truly had the best time and cooking and bonding as a family is very special.”
Patsy then went on to reveal the family had learned to make Pad Thai, as well as crafting the most “amazing” chocolate cake for the lucky birthday boy.
“We are very grateful to you and we will cherish the memories, “ she added, before also revealing that her son Bertie and his cousin Max were both “very excited to join the children’s junior chef day this week as they are massive @gordongram fans as are we all .”
In the first of the snaps shared by Patsy, Richard could be seen dressed in an apron as he posed alongside son Bertie, 11, as they prepared to cook a delicious Pad Thai meal at Gordon Ramsay’s academy.
Alongside the photo, the actress also shared a behind-the-scenes video clip of all three of the couple’s children hard at work, including son Fenton, 22 and daughter Emilia, 21 as they skilfully mastered the culinary arts in a catering grade kitchen.
A second video also revealed that Bertie appeared to be a natural, as he was captured stirring a wok full of prawns and noodles during the lesson.
After a day hard at work cooking, the family soon returned home, with Richard and Patsy even sneakily managing to share a romantic smooch alongside a roaring log fire.
The children also got the chance to spend some time with their doting dad too, as both Fenton and Emilia were seen relaxing in armchairs alongside their grinning dad.
