According to an esteemed royal reporter Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yet to have spoken to Prince William and Kate Middleton since coming back to the UK on their European tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly staying just 700 yards away from the Cambridges but neglected to speak to each other. It is said that the Sussexes have been expecting an apology from Will and Kate who have "crossed a line".

The royal sibling have seen each other two times in the past year – but instead of resolving matters the brothers have stuck to "polite hellos" and "little else", insisted Omid Scobie.

One source told Scobie: "There's a laughable effort to suggest the [Sussexes] have been shunned. The true story is, they never reached out to the Cambridges".

Another source said: "Looking at [the coverage], you would be forgiven for thinking that certain family members have had a say in the matter. They have not.”

He continued: "What [Harry] is waiting for is accountability… Many lines were crossed by William. He was at the centre of a number of painful moments, be it the actions of his own staff or turning his back when support was needed. It was a dark time and one that, so far, William has been unprepared to unpack."

The royal expert wrote on his Yahoo column: "When you look at the bare facts, it becomes obvious why it is pretty much the same state of affairs as years ago."

Prince Harry and Meghan returned in the UK earlier this week. The Duchess of Sussex made a speech at One Young World summit, in which she said "it's nice to be back".

The pair have also been in Germany, attending the one year countdown to Invictus games, where fans went crazy for Meghan.

The surge in popularity around the world has increased again due to the release of Meghan's new podcast Archetypes. So far the Duchess of Sussex has welcomed on tennis legend Serena Williams, singing star Mariah Carey and The Office (US) writer and comedian Mindy Kaling.

Tensions between the Royal Family and Meghan are presumed to be high after Meghan revealed she had never signed anything to stop her from talking about royal life, during an interview with The Cut.
