Strictly Come Dancing results: Jayde Adams is the FOURTH contestant to leave the show after facing Molly Rainford in the dreaded dance off

  • The comedian, 37, was booted from the show after facing CBBC star Molly, 21, in the dreaded dance off
  • Both couples performed their routines again. Molly and her dance partner Carlos Gu performed their couples choice to the Grange Hill Theme Tune
  • Then Jayde and her dance partner Karen Hauer performed their Charleston to The Ballad Of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do It)

Jayde Adams became the fourth celebrity to depart the dance floor during Sunday’s Strictly Come Dancing results show.

On Saturday night, the remaining couples took to the ballroom to celebrate 100 years of the BBC in the hopes of impressing judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge, Shirley Ballas and the voting public.

But this weekend, the comedian, 37, was booted from the show after facing CBBC star Molly Rainford, 21, in the dreaded dance off.

Both couples performed their routines again. Molly and her dance partner Carlos Gu performed their couples choice to the Grange Hill Theme Tune.

Then Jayde and her dance partner Karen Hauer performed their Charleston to The Ballad Of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do It) in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts, with Craig choosing to save Molly and Carlos.

He said: ‘Well two very different dances but based on technical ability alone I would like to save Molly and Carlos.’

Stiff competition: the comedian, 37, was booted from the show after facing CBBC star Molly Rainford, 21, in the dreaded dance off

Here we go again: Jayde and her dance partner Karen Hauer performed their Charleston to The Ballad Of Barry and Freda (Let’s Do It) in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition

Decision time: After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts, with Molly and Carlos going through to next week’s show

Motsi chose to save them too, saying ‘Well I thought you were both brilliant, I thought that both performances were better than Saturday night but I am going to save Molly and Carlos.’

Anton agreed, adding, ‘Well it’s terrible really. The dance off is such a difficult place to find yourself, and it’s so disappointing and I thought both couples didn’t succumb to that disappointment and performed really really well.

‘But just based on that performance, the couple I would like to save with a slightly more polished technique are Molly and Carlos.’

With three votes to Molly and Carlos it meant they had won the majority vote and would be staying in the competition regardless, however Head Judge Shirley also said she would have decided to save the pair.

Support: The surviving celebrities embraced Jayde as she prepared to leave the dancefloor for a final time

Proud: ‘This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave,’ Jayde told the judges ahead of her final dance

She said, ‘Well both were absolutely superb in the dance off but, on a little bit more precision and quality of movement, I would have saved Molly and Carlos.’

When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Jayde said: ‘This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with you [Karen] and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

‘You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen. And everyone on this show, said it to me, when I had you, they said, “You’ve got the best one,” sorry everyone, and I did and you are fantastic and this has been such an honour.

‘Not only have I got to be on Strictly Come Dancing but I got to have Karen Hauer, you are amazing, thank you for everything!

Until next time: Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 29th October at 6.50pm for its Halloween Special on BBC One

‘I’ve done shows before, and nothing holds a candle to the way that this show is run. It is an incredible thing to be a part of as a performer, we are so looked after, and in this industry where so many people aren’t looked after, this show is incredible, well done everyone.’

Karen was then asked if she had any words for her partner, she said: ‘It’s been a roller-coaster of emotions for us, and you are so special, so powerful, so emotional, and I’ve loved every second. Thank you Jayde.’

Saturday’s live show saw the celebrities once again giving it their all with new routines in week four.

Sunday’s result show opener featured a moving and powerful number from professional dancers in tribute to the BBC’s natural history programming.
