Kym Marsh breaks silence on Corrie return
Kym Marsh’s daughter got married this month – and according to the blushing bride, her proud mum “cried her eyes out”.
Singer and actress Emilie has followed in her mum’s footsteps to carve out a showbiz career, and now she almost followed Strictly 2022 star Kym’s fashion choices too, with plans to wear her old wedding dress on her special day.
Kym, 47, and Emilie, 26, unveiled all the details about tying the knot with Michael Hoszowskyj, which took place at the country estate of Merrydale Manor in Cheshire on August 4, in a new interview.
Emilie confessed she’d fallen for the fishtailed lace creation her mum had worn to walk down the aisle years earlier, telling Hello! magazine: “We know an amazing seamstress called Sonya who works at Pure Bride.
“I went in to see what they could do with my mum’s old wedding dress, because I had fallen in love with it.”

She instead chose a floor length delicate white lace dress from the selection and Kym, who wore a pink dress with cut outs at the waist, revealed she “couldn’t be any prouder”.
Emilie said: “It was so special to have my mum with me. She cried her eyes out the first time she saw me in my dress.”
“I watched Emilie’s first child be born and now she’s my first child to marry. It’s an emotional time: my baby girl is getting married!” the enthused ex-Corrie star explained.
Strictly Come Dancing star Kym was delighted to reveal the event was a family affair, with Emilie’s seven-year-old stepdaughter Polly being the chief flower girl and son Teddy being the ring-bearer.

Michael, who is 33, was equally enthusiastic, marvelling that the kids “stole the show”.
He also admitted that he shed some tears when he saw Emilie walk down the aisle on the arm of her father David Cunliffe, whom Kym split up with in 1999.
Meanwhile, Kym exclaimed that her daughter was “the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen” on the day.
Although vocal prowess runs in the family, neither Emilie nor Kym took to the stage at the wedding, with entertainment instead being provided by the likes of DJ Nick Campbell.
He was joined by a nine-piece live band called Tommy T and the Belletones, plus acoustic duo Joe and James Fay and singer Dave Perkins.
The couple had been together for six years and Kym had initially announced their engagement in a gushing Instagram post back in 2021.
Praising them for their parenting skills, she excitedly told the world: “[Michael] loves my daughter with all his heart and I know he will be a fantastic husband to my girl. Very proud to be his mother in law to be!!!
“@emilieecunliffe.x he’s also struck gold with you! You are an absolute diamond. Beautiful, loving, loyal and kind and one of the best mummies I know!! I couldn’t be more proud of you!!”
Now the eagerly awaited wedding day has come to pass, while Kym and Emilie will continue to star together in Greatest Days: Take That The Musical, playing Rachel and young Rachel respectively.
