Taylor Swift fans hit back at Olivia Wilde over dig at singers dating rumors

Taylor Swift hit back at Olivia Wilde after she appeared to take a dig at the Black Space hitmaker on social media.

The actress took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to share a post from an X account apparently alluding to rumors Taylor is dating NFL star Travis Kelce.

The post read: “I wish Taylor Swift was in love with a climate scientist.”

And while the post appears to simply link Swift’s popularity and influence to the climate change movement, some felt as though it may have been a jab.

Some critics took aim at Wilde’s recent high-profile relationship with Harry Styles, whom she dated from January 2021 until November 2022.

One online user reportedly said: “She wasn’t worried about climate change when she was flying across the country to go chase Harry lmao.”

A second commenter added, according to the Daily Mail: “’Olivia Wilde is the last person who should be criticizing anyone about who they date.”

Another fan simply claimed: “Olivia Wilde is jealous of Taylor Swift.”

Swift and Travis Kelce have been at the center of romance rumors since last month, with the singer attending two of his recent games.

The pop megastar was even pictured chatting to in the boxes to Kelce’s mom, Donna, during her son’s games.

Meanwhile, Wilde recently reached an agreement 18 months after engaging in a bitter custody battle with her ex, Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.

The former couple, who became engaged in a battle over custody for their two children in 2022, have finally settled their dispute, according to documents obtained by The Daily Mail.

The issues surrounding the care of their nine-year-old son Otis and six-year-old daughter Daisy famously turned public and ugly in April last year.

At the time, Wilde was served papers for the dispute as she promoted her film Don’t Worry Darling at CinemaCon.
