The Apprentices Harpreet Kauer sets record straight on pressing show query

The Apprentice: Harpreet wins the 2022 series

Harpreet Kauer has revealed that contestants on The Apprentice really do wake up at 4am and take 20 minutes to get ready for each task.

The desserts business owner, who bagged herself a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar in the 2022 series, spoke exclusively with Express.co.uk about moving her company in a new direction.

Just 18 months after winning the show, Harpreet has now teamed up with Hilton London Metropole in order to grow her business.

She also revealed the most popular question she’s been asked since being on the BBC programme, which is whether or not the candidates always wake up at 4am for each weekly task.

“It’s the most asked question, and I promise you, I would love to have longer,” she shared.

“We genuinely had 20 minutes, 25 minutes at a push.

“And I don’t know how we did it. I think it just proves that if you’re under pressure. You can literally do anything and I wish it only took me that long now but for some reason that skill has disappeared.”

Despite a strict relationship ban on the show, the dedicated business owner started dating her series co-star Akshay Thakrar just a few months after she won the series.

The pair are now engaged and are hoping to get married next year, with runner-up Kathryn Burn even one of Harpreet’s bridesmaids.

“We were never working together on tasks. I then picked him to be on my team for the final because I just thought he might be assertive. And it seemed like one of the strongest candidates to me,” she shared.

“I don’t think every season is as lucky.

“I think I’m really lucky to be on the season that I was because I’ve got a best friend, husband, an investment, and a whole new bunch of friends where we genuinely just want to support each other and want each other to do well.”

Speaking about her new partnership, she said: “There’s nothing sweeter than seeing our Cookie Cups available to buy at Hilton London Metropole – it’s truly a dream collaboration and to have the opportunity to work alongside such an iconic hotel is incredible.”

Oh So Yum! has launched its debut six-flavour Cookie Cup collaboration with the Hilton London Metropole, now available in-house at the Tyburn Market restaurant.
