The West Wing and Glee star Kristin Chenoweth, 55, marries musician fiancé Josh Bryant

Kristin Chenoweth has tied the knot with her fiancé Josh Bryant in a romantic ceremony held in Dallas, Texas. The pair met at the Glee star's niece's wedding in 2016, at which Josh's band Backroad Anthem was booked to perform, and one year later they met again at Kristin's nephew's wedding after he also booked the band for the occasion.

And after becoming engaged in 2021, the duo tied the knot over the weekend, with Kristin, 55, telling People Magazine: "I have been a self-proclaimed bachelorette my whole life. I was never going to get married. I even got engaged before and couldn't do it. Until I met Josh. Then I was like, ‘Why would I ever let this guy go?’ I’m so blessed."

For the ceremony, the actress and singer chose a stunning Pamella Roland gown, which featured a sheer nude and pink overlay and a bow detail at the back. Kristin, who originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked on Broadway, opted for a pink colour scheme for her big day.

The star-studded ceremony saw a number of the couple's celeb pals in attendance, including music mogul David Foster, his wife actress and singer Katharine McPhee, and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega. Joking about how she'd never planned to get married, Kristin told People: "It's about damn time! ll my family would be saying that about me.

"But for me, this wedding isn’t a dream come true for me because I never dreamed it would happen. It's almost revelatory. Like if you open yourself up to love, to true love, what can happen."

Prior to saying "I do" Kristin had spoken about meeting Josh, 41, during an appearance on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show. She recalled: "I noticed him and he noticed me, but we were dating other people. And then, the next summer, my nephew gets married and hires the same band and we re-met."

The pair had become friends following the first wedding, with Kristin explaining: "We had kind of become online friends. I just got to know the whole band because, you know, that's my people — my tribe. And we became friends so by the time we met at that second wedding is when sparks flew."

After becoming romantically involved, Kristin says that their bond became even deeper when she "fell apart" following the death of a close friend during the Covid-19 pandemic, during which time Josh was her "rock."
