Victoria Beckham has finally addressed why she broke down in tears following her Spring/Summer 2023 catwalk at Paris Fashion Week last month. The 48-year-old was caught on camera with her head in her hands sobbing as the show came to an end. Speaking of the moment on The Drew Barrymore show, the ex Spice Girl explained why she was overcome with emotion.

She explained: “I got so emotional in the show in Paris.

“I planned on coming out after the show and I wanted a great picture walking down the catwalk.

“But the moment I saw David, and the kids and my mum and my dad and my sister, I just got so emotional, I really did.

“Because family is everything to me. To have them there, to support me, is just everything.”

Also in the audience supporting the former Spice Girl was her son Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz.

The actress mingled with her in-laws and smiled for pictures at the show, despite claims she and Victoria had been at loggerheads.

Earlier this month, a source claimed she was there for the sake of Brooklyn and that their reconciliation won’t last long.

They told Heat Magazine: “Brooklyn explained that his parents were upset – that’s why she turned up to the show.

“But no one believes the reconciliation will last long – especially now Nicola has refused to spend Christmas with the Beckhams for the second year in a row.”

The insider added that David and Victoria’s eldest son had hoped their appearance at Paris Fashion Week would be a turning point for them all.

For months, numerous sources have claimed the pair had fallen out over her wedding dress.

The actress and David and Victoria’s oldest son Brooklyn tied the knot back in April in a three-day ceremony.

Nicola also raised eyebrows when she spoke out on the rumours of why she didn’t wear a dress designed by her mother-in-law for the ceremony.

When speaking to Grazia USA, actress Nicola appeared to hint that there was some debate surrounding the wedding dress and what the bride was going to wear.

“Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress,” she explained.

“I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created.

“We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it.

“So, I spoke to my mum and Leslie [Nicola’s close friend and stylist, stylist Leslie Fremar], and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’”

Elaborating on accusations that she refused to wear a wedding dress designed by Victoria, Nicola said that it was just “not true”.

She said: “When I read things that say [things like] I was never planning on wearing a [Victoria Beckham] dress or things like that, it does hurt my feelings.

“I try not to let it, but it’s just not the truth. It’s just a bit of a bummer when you’re like, ‘Oh, people think that,’ but it’s just not true.”
